Privacy policy
1. Controller
enginess GmbHAemtlerstrasse 151, 8003 Zurich, Switzerland
Support and privacy: hello@enginess.ch
This policy covers the iOS and Android game, its web version and this support website. Advertising features apply only to the native mobile apps.
2. Playing and local storage
No player account is required. High scores, unlocked rounds, sound and haptic settings are stored on your device. We operate no game-save server or online leaderboard. Fireman contains no separate usage analytics or crash-reporting service of our own.
These records remain until you clear the app data or browser storage. Operating-system backups may independently retain or restore them. Fireman does not request microphone, camera, contacts or precise device-location access.
3. Advertising
We use Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to help fund the game. The app requests non-personalised ads; test builds use test ads.
Google may process IP addresses, approximate location, device/app identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic or performance data for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Android advertising and app-set identifiers may be involved. On iOS, Fireman does not request ATT permission for IDFA access. Non-personalised advertising is not necessarily data-free.
Recipients include Google and the advertising partners identified in the consent dialog, subject to your choices. The dialog contains the current partner list and purposes. See Google's privacy policy and Google partner services.
4. Your advertising choices
At startup, UMP checks whether a privacy prompt is required. Where shown, it lets you consent, decline or manage options. Fireman initialises the ads SDK only when UMP allows ad requests. You can continue playing without that permission. Depending on your region and choices, limited ads may be allowed or no ads may be available.
When Google requires continuing access, the game settings show “Datenschutzoptionen” (privacy options). You can change or withdraw consent there. Previously loaded ads are discarded. Withdrawal applies to future processing. Google's SDK stores consent information; Fireman keeps no separate copy of your selections.
5. Support and this website
If you email us, we process your address, message and voluntarily supplied details to handle your request. Correspondence is retained only while needed for that purpose, legitimate record-keeping or legal obligations.
This website is served through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. The providers may process IP address, requested URL, time and browser information for delivery, operation and security. We embed no ads, analytics scripts, external fonts or social-media trackers here. Provider information: OpenAI and Cloudflare.
6. Legal bases and international processing
Swiss data-protection law applies in particular. Where the GDPR applies, necessary game features and requested support rely on contract performance or pre-contractual requests, secure operation on legitimate interests, and advertising or device access requiring consent on your consent. Statutory obligations remain applicable.
Google, advertising partners and hosting providers may process data outside Switzerland and the EEA, including in the United States. Processing is not restricted to Switzerland. Locations and transfer mechanisms are described by Google and in the partners' and hosting providers' privacy notices. These may include recognised adequacy arrangements and standard contractual clauses. Provider retention depends on their purposes and notices; we do not set a single retention period for all providers.
7. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object and withdraw consent. Contact hello@enginess.ch. Evidence necessary to safely identify the request may be required. You may complain to the Swiss FDPIC or your competent data-protection authority.
We cannot remotely retrieve or delete local game saves. Use your device's app-data controls or browser-storage controls to remove them. Advertising identifiers can also be managed in your operating system's privacy settings.
8. Changes
We update this policy when features or processing change. The date above identifies the current version.
